Umer Khalid arrested and remanded to police custody for 10 days.

Umer Khalid was arrested a day before yesterday and surprisingly he was remanded to police custody for ten days. Umer Khalid has been arrested as master mind of riots in North West Delhi in February 2020.

Umer Khalid

Umar Khalid, a post graduate, was born in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi and has lived there for the last 30 years. His father, Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, is from Maharashtra, while his mother is from Western Uttar Pradesh. S.Q.R. Ilyas was member of SIMI and conveniently seperated from it before it was banned as a terror sponsoring unlawful organization.

Umer Khalid last stole the lime light with his videos going viral where he was chanting support for convicted terrorists like Afzal Guru and Yakoob Memon.

The fact that court has granted his custody to police for ten days means Khalid would be taken to many places out of Delhi and it would not be convenient for police to produce him in between. Generally courts prefer to give custody for three days to ensure the safety of accused.

It is therefore possible that some more facts and involvement of more people may surface after ten days custody.

This arrest of Umer Khalid is under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. Therefore he going to be parked in prison for long time.

All the best to terrorist sympathisers on Twitter and especially those in Movie Industry and financed from across the border.

Now Uddhav Thackeray’s goons attack Navy veteran on petty issue.

Aside

This cartoon is on social media for weeks:

It shows Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as surrender man before allied party chiefs.

The most interesting part is the Uddhav Thackeray’s father and founder of the party was a cartoonist himself. But then Uddhav is here to undo everything his father did.

The retired Naval Officer has been targeted and beaten by Shiv Sena workers for sharing aforesaid cartoon. He could barely escape with injuries all over the body and he is being catscanned. See

What entitles them to behave like gangsters?

On top of it all, the veteran Madan Sharma was informed that he is being prosecuted under Information Technology Act.

Rejection of Bail Application of Rhea Chakraborty.

Status

As expected bail applications of Rhea Chakraborty and co-accused persons have been rejected. The hype created their favour by various interested persons of movie industry and media has fizzled out.

For granting bail in narcotics matter, the judge has very little room especially in first six months. India has toughest law against drugs which has only recently been diluted to distinguish between dealer and mere user.

This is not a case of a casual user but regular peddlers, handlers and financiers.

Once the bail is rejected from High Court, NCB will be back in the game.

In High Court the accused persons may choose to file one application at a time for each accused seperately.

This is all I would like to comment at this time.

Mumbai: with Governance in Vendetta Mode, Corona runs riot.

Mumbai has reported 23,000 fresh infections in past 24 hours, the highest in any state of India on any single day. But switch on any TV channel for past one week, the Government is busy protecting Rhea Chakraborty from arrest or bad mouthing Kangana Ranaut.

Kangana Ranaut had reached Mumbai and the ruling party Shiv Sena could only demolish one floor of her office in her absence in open defiance of rule of law, natural justice or common sense or politics. It also violates the general embargo on all demolitions due to Corona. Later Shiv Sena proclaimed it’s achievement:

The headline above smacks not just arrogance but also a lack of sobriety expected from a publication. The alterations made in the apartment of Kangana are very common and exist in every household including that of prime minister of India. If such demolitions are permitted no building in India would be legal enough to stand on ground.

On top of it a reporter of Republic TV has been arrested from the farm house of the Chief Minister (??) and is being kept in custody of police for several days. Why TV has not filed habeas corpus petition in High Court? Why it has not approached the concerned Magistrate?
