Shashi Tharoor’s Kerala is suffering!!

Shashi Tharoor is member of parliament from Thiruvantpuram, the capital of State of Kerala and he is very dissatisfied with the performance of India in Corona Pandemic. His party i.e. rules Punjab where the death toll is highest. The case fatality rate, as it is known, in Punjab is over 3% approx. as against national average of 1.5% approx. The learned MP had granted his constituency Oxyzen concentrators, though the same have not been delivered till recently. See this tweet:

Precarious Finances of Kerala

Kerala is facing a record fiscal deficit following the economic crisis triggered by the Covid pandemic. As per the evaluation made for the first quarter of the current financial year, the state’s fiscal deficit stood at 112.9 per cent which comes to the tune of 10,578 crores. It also pointed out that if financial assistance from the Centre including GST compensation if not received immediately, the state could plunge into a deep financial crisis in the coming days.

Implosion in Shashi Tharoor’s favourite constituency: Karachi

Black day in Kashmir:

Kashmir is celebrating Black day today to commemorate the invasion of Kahmir by so called tribal raiders aided and abetted by newly created East Pakistan from Punjab. Interestingly Pakistan had entered into a Standstill Agreement with the Maharaja of Kashmir on August 12, 1947. but suddenly on this day that is the October 22, 1947, it unilaterally broke the Agreement and launched an invasion to forcibly capture Jammu and Kashmir using tribal raiders. The raiders, as is well known, raped, looted and pillaged the state with a ferocity that shocked the people till the Indian army came to the rescue.

Complicity of Jinnah:

Major General Akbar Khan in his book ‘Raiders in Kashmir’ explains how he diverted 4,000 military rifles of the Punjab Police transferred to the raiders. Similarly ammunition was also clandestinely diverted for use in Kashmir. There are many other books corroborating the brutal account of raid on Kashmir. Hence it is celebrated as Black day in the valley.

While Shashi Tharoor had audacity to praise this rogue estate in Lahore Literature Festival, he had no time to tweet about the Black day. Why?

The answer is obvious. It would amount to criticizing his favourite country his party created and nourished for all these years. The country where wheat is presently in short supply and being sold at Rs. 75/- a kg sugar is sold there for Rs. 125/-. Even if we discount the currency disparity, the price is still double of what these essential commodities cost in India. Therefore people are up in arms against the rulers which is the Army. There is a possibility of implosion but that will not make Shashi Tharoor to say anything as it is his favourite country. The day he made speech at Lahore LitFest, opposition parties were already coming together in Sindh province of Pakistan to protest.

What Indian Media did not show:

On Sunday 11-party anti-government Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance staged a massive rally in Karachi at a jam-packed Bagh-i-Jinnah in the shadow of the Jinnah’s mausoleum. The leaders of the opposition parties vowed that their struggle would continue till the fall of Imran Khan’s government. Sindhi People’s Party ‘owner’ Bilawal Bhutto addressed the rally and compared incumbent Prime Minister with dictators in these words:

Suicider: Please wait; Give one moment please?

Suicide is the strongest and last disapproval of life. It is all over the news that debonair Minister’s wife died in mysterious circumstances. How Sunanda Pushkar wife of Minister Shashi Tharoor died is wrapped in mystery. Cause of death is not known probably drug overdose. Ability to keep secrets is not the trait, known for this Minister but the Government machinery is expert in that till the press shred it by quoting ‘reliable sources’. It is apparent that the lady was under acute stress if not depression. It is also apparent that Tharoor was suspected to be romantically involved with a Pakistani Journalist. BTW adultery if committed by a male person in India, it is not a penal crime even if it may be a matrimonial misconduct.
