Relativity in relationships: I love you Mom!

I love you Mom!

Relativity is the theory propounded by Einstein in respect of speed and especially the speed of light. However, human relationships are also relative to the age and circumstances. Here is a Joke bringing out this harsh fact in a humorous way:

A five-year old boy to his Mom: I love you Mom!
Mom: I love you too, son.

A 16 years old boy: I love you Mom.
Mom: Sorry son. I have no money.

A 25 years old boy: I love you Mom.
Mom: Who is she? Where does she live?

A 36 years old man: I love you Mom.
Mom: I told you, she was not good enough for you.

And above all, the best love expression:

A 55 years old man: I love you Mom.
Mom: Son, I have made it very clear. I will not sign any paper.

Ha ha.  Human relationships and so much love oozing out of it. Ha ha.

BTW today is Baisakhi. To those who celebrate, Happy Baisakhi.

(We don’t celebrate. Reasons are here. )

What is love?

Enigma of love!

Love is certainly an enigma but for those who fell out of it and those who have yet to test it. The question posed above has been addressed by poets, writers, philosophers and perhaps by psychologists for centuries if not millennium. Some Sanskrit love stories date back to 400AD. So what is this phenomenon called love? Above all, why is it so transient?

Love and affection:

The expression of love has many dimensions. It can be motherly affection, parental affection, affection of a beloved or romantic love or could be a materialistic expression such as I love my car or I love this phone. The expression is also used to emphasise activities such as I love blogging, I love painting or I love to play Golf.
I am sure if any one is reading it this far, s/he is likely to say that I am confusing the matter by joining different emotions or states of mind. Continue reading

Suicider: Please wait; Give one moment please?

Suicide is the strongest and last disapproval of life. It is all over the news that debonair Minister’s wife died in mysterious circumstances. How Sunanda Pushkar wife of Minister Shashi Tharoor died is wrapped in mystery. Cause of death is not known probably drug overdose. Ability to keep secrets is not the trait, known for this Minister but the Government machinery is expert in that till the press shred it by quoting ‘reliable sources’. It is apparent that the lady was under acute stress if not depression. It is also apparent that Tharoor was suspected to be romantically involved with a Pakistani Journalist. BTW adultery if committed by a male person in India, it is not a penal crime even if it may be a matrimonial misconduct.
