Why Kashmir is not boiling after abrogation of article 370?

The story of Kashmir is story of India. However in case of Kashmir the history is far more certain. Kashmir is the only region which has a recorded history of about 2000 years. This is compiled in Sanskrit and is called Rajatrangini compiled by Kalhana and his successors and is in five volumes.

Politicians often do not read and certainly not the mundane subjects like history. They don’t care so long they win. However it may become difficult in this information age. Journalist are even worse. They decide what will happen and when it does not happen, some of them confess, others move on. (Watch Shekhar Gupta’s confession on 2019 election results)

In 1305 A. D. when Raja Simha Deva was king, Kashmir was a country of drunkards and gamblers, and the women were no betterthan they should be. In this reign Zulkadar Khan,’ the Tartar, invaded” Kashmir, and helpless Simha Deva fled to Kishtwar.

Demography of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.

Statistics and Hard Facts:

Erestwhile State of J&K (now UT) in India has an Area of 101380 sq Km. This however excludes the area annexed by Pakistan.

Kashmir : 15%
Jammu : 26%
Ladakh : 59%

85,000 sq Km comprising 85% area is not Muslim Majority.

Population – 1.25 Crores

Kashmir : 69 Lakhs. (Only 55 Lakhs speak Kashmiri. Rest 13 lakhs speak Non kashmiri languages.)

Jammu : 53 Lakhs.
(Language: Dogri, Punjabi, Hindi)

Ladakh : 03 Lakhs. (Ladakhi language)

This does not include 1.5 million people settled in Jammu who do not have citizenship due to article 35-A.

Why Pulwama Terror Happened?

Kashmir is not just Kashmir but it comprise of three regions called Jammu, Kashmir valley and Laddakh. The main Kashmir Valley is 15,520.3 km2 (5,992.4 sq mi) in area. The Himalayas divide the Kashmir valley from Ladakh while the Pir Panjal range, which encloses the valley from the west and the south, separates it from the Great Plains of northern India. It is approximately 135 km long and 32 km wide, and drained by the Jhelum River.

The problem of terrorism is in South Kashmir where their are too many radical elements exist. It is less then a million and just five districts.

Kashmir which includes Jammu and the area presently administered by Pakistan was part of Punjab and was ceded to East India Company in 1846, and the Company ‘sold’ it to Golab Singh for 50 hundred thousand Rupees by a sale deed executed at Amritsar.
