I am neither dead nor disabled. 

I have been punching my thoughts on my iPhone and there are at least three articles ready to be posted but could not. These are the reasons:

1. iPhone for WordPress has very poor spell check. Therefore without reviewing it on laptop or desktop, posting an article may turn out to be a ludicrous effort. 

2. I have my hand in too many pies. Personal and professional. I still need to read again for possible omissions. 

3. Sometime every person/writer hits a place from where s/he has to climb back and like many times before, I will. Hopefully soon. 

4. It is not writers block. It is partially processing things and partially professional and personal commitments. 

5. When new things happen, new problems accompany which are to be dealt with. 

6. Whenever you are pressed for time professionally personal things    also press at exactly same time.

Webland.in finally responded

Webland.in review:

Unscrupulous Hosting solution providers.

Sometime back I had written a review about webland.in, a web hosting provider at this link. Now after a long time (11 months) they have noticed it and have given this response:

We found your write-up is inappropriate about our server, bandwidth downtime or refund.

There are a few 3rd party websites which monitor and collect data. Which shows up the server speed, uptime etc. Most of them show a very good speed and 99.6% uptime for last 3 years, which is true about webland.

As your blog shows up on the first page of Google for search terms related to webland, it really hurts the buyers and we would have lost a big portion of revenue.

We run a very small-scale business and not greedy about money. Our employees are from weaker part of the community and run this show, just for their sake.

As you know, we sell domain + hosting for just 700/- per year, the margin we make out is very low.

We were not able to find “client history” for yours in our system, if it is a refund, we can do it immediately.

Please consider us and kindly remove the blog against us.

Godaddy: Once dishonest always a dishonest!

Finally I got rid of godaddy.com.

It appears that economical hosting which godaddy.com offered was a ploy to lure people and then offer upgrade. I pondered over the question for about a month that if I should take the upgrade? But my principle is once a dishonest, always dishonest.

But why be dishonest?

It is interesting thing to call somebody dishonest. You have to have a proof. I have given the proof in previous post. Godday.com has not responded to it. At all. In fact the stony silence on their part is that of a dishonest person who is caught red handed.

Hostgator hosting refund policy.

Cheating in the name of hosting.

All hosting have found a new way to cheat people. I have been cheated twice.
First was webland.in. They make tall promises but after the refund dead line they squeeze the bandwidth and demand more payment. Similar thing is happening with Goddady, whose details are here. Hosting is like a ponzi scheme. Pay a sum for one year or more and everything works fine till you are entitled to claim refund which is about 45 days or less. Once that threshold is crossed, you lose everything. The money gone forever and website will be down 100 times in a day. Even when trying to log in, the page will not load.

On a look out for new host I stumbled upon hostgator.in, another reputed name or so I believed. But the chat with their representative, yesterday was rather deceptive. This is the chat with hostgator ‘s representative:

Do you think I should go for this host?

I don’t. Relying upon goodness of heart is not my best suit any more especially when I have been cheated twice because I took there word for granted.

GoDaddy has to go!

Terrible services rendered by GoDaddy:

GoDaddy has serious issues and no customer support. In fact I am not able to find customer support email on there website. When I last reported the hosting problem with GoDaddy, somebody did make comment under that post claiming to be from GoDaddy but after making a standard reply, she failed to answer my query that as to why I was not able to login when there own cPanel was showing everything as normal.

After that, I was not able to log into my account for several occasions. I changed password yet there was same reply incorrect name or password. There are some serious issue with there servers. When I tweeted about the problem, GoDaddy promptly admitted that some people had problem logging into their account. Continue reading
