Yog Guru Ramdev, promoter and face of Patanjali had yesterday launched a medicine for Covid-19. The medicine is named ‘Coronil’. It is claimed that in trial 69% patients were cured in 3 days and all the patients (100%) were cured in seven days.
The Ministry of Ayush distanced itself and advised Patanjali not to make outrageous claims through advertisements.

Ministry of Ayush issued a press statement which partially reads:
“Ministry of AYUSH has taken cognizance of the news being recently flashed in the media about Ayurvedic medicines developed for treatment of COVID-19 by Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Haridwar (Uttrakhand). Facts of the claim and details of the stated scientific study are not known to the Ministry.
