साँची कही तो मारन धावै, झूठे जग पतियाना ।

Hindu say that they have Ram, Muslim claims over Rehman. 

आपस में दौऊ लड़ै मरत हैं, मरम कोई नहिं जाना ।

Both killing each other without understanding the crux of the matter. 

बहुत मिले मोहि नेमी, धर्मी, प्रात करे असनाना ।

Met may famous and religious who would bath in morning daily. 

आतम-छाँड़ि पषानै पूजै, तिनका थोथा ज्ञाना ।

Leaving self, worshipping stones, with knowledge. As little as straw. 

आसन मारि डिंभ धरि बैठे, मन में बहुत गुमाना ।

Sitting in yogic posture with arrogance in heart. 

पीपर-पाथर पूजन लागे, तीरथ-बरत भुलाना ।

Started worshipping plants or stones and undertaking pilgrimages. 

माला पहिरे, टोपी पहिरे छाप-तिलक अनुमाना ।

Wearing garland, skull cap or applying tilak. 

साखी सब्दै गावत भूले, आतम खबर न जाना ।

Telling singing religious stories, forgetting self knowledge. 

घर-घर मंत्र जो देन फिरत हैं, माया के अभिमाना ।

People who distribute mantras door to door are egotist afflicted by Maya. 

गुरुवा सहित सिष्य सब बूढ़े, अन्तकाल पछिताना ।

Guru and pupils all got old only to regret for a life time.

बहुतक देखे पीर-औलिया, पढ़ै किताब-कुराना ।

Seen many Sufi, pir, aulia, who read book of Kuran.

करै मुरीद, कबर बतलावैं, उनहूँ खुदा न जाना ।

They impress, guide to grave but they know no God. 

हिन्दू की दया, मेहर तुरकन की, दोनों घर से भागी ।

Compassion of Hindu, generosity of Turkish, both have left their homes,

वह करै जिबह, वो झटका मारे, आग दोऊ घर लागी।

This will sacrifice animal slowly and that will kill in one go but houses of both are on fire.

या विधि हँसत चलत है, हमको आप कहावै स्याना ।

Nature is laughing at us but we call ourselves wise. 

कहै कबीर सुनो भाई साधो, इनमें कौन दिवाना ।
