Google Docs/Drive access from linux/ubuntu/mint

Google Docs are now known as Google Drive. It now accepts all kinds of files including mp3. So it was time that a dropbox type desktop widget to sync file. Thankfully a developer Tom Beckmann has solved this problem. It is called Google Work Office or GWOffice. To install it, open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and type following three commands, each followed by an enter:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tombeckmann/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install gwoffice

(Enter your password and select ‘Yes’ where ever required.) It is done. Now use GWOffice from menu.
As regards the working, I have found it to be slow and inadequate. It has the appearance of a lightweight win95 window. I may give another try soon and see if it is worth it.
